Military history of Egypt during World War II
The results were published as the Cairo Declaration, an unsigned press release discussing the Allies' intentions to divide up the Japanese Empire following Japan's surrender. The document vowed to return all territory seized by Japan since World War I and included Taiwan and the Okinawa, as well as Japanese possessions to be returned to China. It also called for Korea to become an independent state and Việt Nam to declare independence.
Roosevelt and Churchill proceeded immediately to the Tehran Conference with Joseph Stalin.
