Song Information

"Lost Highway" is a song about freedom and self expression. In an New York Post interview Jon Bon Jovi claimed, "That song was a gift from God. It was written and recorded in 48 hours. When we got to Nashville, I had that song on my mind".

"I took the title from the Hank Williams song. 'Lost Highway' is the place that no one knows except you".^[4]

The song was also present on the soundtrack to the 2007 film Wild Hogs.

Live performances

The song has been performed at many promotional events for the band including live on the Today Show, a performance for MTV Unplugged and at the Live Earth concert held in New Jersey.

The band currently opens with "Lost Highway" at concerts on the Lost Highway Tour.

Bon Jovi also played the song at the Royal Variety Performance on December 3rd 2007.
