Innocent Records is a pop record label created to cater to pre-teen and teenage music fans. Originally set up as an offshoot of EMI's Virgin Records Group, it was re-organised under the Angel Music Group division when managing director of the label Hugh Goldsmith left to set up a similar label at Sony BMG called Brightside Recordings.
