I Only Have Eyes for You (Buffy episode)
- A night-blooming jasmine flower appears in this episode and is compared to vampires. This comparison will be made again in the Angel episodes "The Trial" and "Shiny Happy People." In the latter it will become the name of a fallen member of the Powers That Be.
- This episode marks the first reference to the Mayor of Sunnydale (Richard Wilkins). He later on becomes the Big Bad in Season Three.
- This episode reveals that Vampire Slayers and Vampires are both vulnerable to ghostly possession.
