George W. Bush

Dennis Kucinich, a Democrat from Ohio, introduced articles of impeachment on the floor of Congress against President Bush on June 9, 2008.[239] Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said, however, that impeachment is "off the table".[239]

Publication, literacy and reading

In 1999 George W. Bush published a book entitled A Charge to Keep, co-written with Mickey Herskowitz. A later edition from 2001 has the subtitle 'My Journey to the White House'. Laura Bush is known to be an avid reader and ambassador for literacy, while light-hearted jokes are made about her husband not being much of a reader. He has, however, spoken about his book and claims to have taken up reading. The White House Press Office in the summer of 2006 put out Bush's reading list, which included everything from politics to memoirs to the classics. In a television interview with NBC's Brian Williams, Bush claimed to have especially enjoyed The Stranger by Albert Camus, claiming to have found it "an interesting book and a quick read." More recently, he said he is currently reading contemporary novels, enjoying such titles as The Shack by William P. Young and Crippled Dreams by David Rehak.
