The Lions' flagship radio station is WXYT-FM 97.1 FM, known locally as "The Ticket." WXYT-FM is simulcasted on WXYT-AM 1270, unless there's a conflict with Detroit Tigers baseball or Detroit Red Wings hockey. The radio announcers are Dan Miller with play-by-play, Jim Brandstatter with color commentatary, and Tony Ortiz with sideline reports.
Starting in 2008, the flagship TV station for preseason games will be WWJ-TV, CBS 62 in the Detroit market with Frank Beckmann on play-by-play, Eric Kramer with color commentary, and Steve Courtney with sideline reports. They are simulcasted on WNEM-TV 5 CBS in the Flint / Tri-Cities market.
