BBC Entertainment is an international television channel showcasing comedy, drama and light entertainment programming from the BBC and other UK production houses. In October 2006 BBC Prime Asia was replaced with BBC Entertainment in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and South Korea. In December 2006, BBC Entertainment launched on the Astro platform in Malaysia. The channel launched in India in May 2007 on the Tata Sky platform and on India online Broadband Pvt Ltd. The channel most recently launched in Poland, on Cyfrowy Polsat in December 2007. BBC Entertainment is wholly-owned by BBC Worldwide.
