BBC Alba
BBC Alba is the Gàidhlig name for Scotland's national broadcaster, BBC Scotland. The term BBC Alba is generally used to describe specifically the Gàidhlig language wing of the corporation.[citation needed]
Some of BBC Alba's more notable programming includes the international issues magazine Eòrpa (Europe), children's programme Dè a-nis? (What Now?) and comedy sketch show Air ais air an Ràn Dàn (Back on the Ran Dan).
BBC Alba are also responsible for the national Gaelic radio station BBC Radio nan Gàidheal. BBC Alba will also be responsible for the upcoming, Gaelic Digital Service channel (GDS) [1].
BBC Alba also recently launched an extented news service as part of the Digital service launch.[2]
